So I havent built my rig yet as I am waiting for maxwell and their performance boost. Im most likely going to get a gtx 860 which I expect to mine at about 500kh/s. I plan on mining the alt coins like dogecoin or new coins that come out, try to mine as many as possible while their difficulty is still low, wait for their value to rise, then sell them at a much higher rate. Now I know It wont be this easy or effective every time, but im sure I can pull it off on at least a few altcoins or at the very least just mine litecoin and make a hundred or so a month. Does my strategy sound ok? Any improvements/advice from anyone? TIps? Thank you.

i am honestly not that into bitcoin mining though i have done some research. if i am not mistaking you want to use an AMD based card for the best mh/s compared to nvidia gpu's and if your really wanting the best hash you should look into butterfly labs aisc add in cards. they have much higher hash rating then gpu's/cpu's....i don't beleive a gtx 860 will be even close to 500 mh/s....aisc's (the most effienict as far as i could read up on only hit about 600 mh/s) for the fourth gen pre-order cards @ 2grand a pop or 300mh/s for 1.5 grand.

I ment to say kh/s a second my bad. I expect about 500kh/s from the 860 because the 750ti gets almost 300kh/s so I think thats decently fair. I also plan on gaming with this rig so its not mining only.
