Hi all, any suggestions to the following? Every time I start my computer the Date/Time are incorrectly displayed. I click on adjust date/time & go through the commands to rectify the issue but this is only a temporary fix, as I write this the computers date//time is synced with the correct internet time but once I power down & restart I am back to square one; a date & time that is in the past for example: 31/2/2001. I am wondering if it has something to do with the BIOS but I am not sure at all.

Anyone got any ideas on the above?

Change the battery on your motherboard (The CMOS battery).

I had the exact same conditions as gcampb012005. The date/time kept changing spontaneously at unpredictable times. My PC is a 2005 vintage HP Compaq with Win XP Pro. Replacing the CMOS battery fixed the problem. Thanks verma1891!
