Hi people! I really need your help urgently. I have a Windows 8 Pro Laptop by ASUS. I have been using Windows 8 for like 6 months now and yesterday I shut down the laptop like I do normally and in the morning when I switched it on, it asked me to enter password like it always does.
One thing I noticed is that the lock screen wallpaper was removed and it was blue, it was not showing my Microsoft Account picture. Now when I entered my password it took more time then it normally did and it showed "SIGNING OUT" and returned me back to my lock screen. I'm confused, I have entered the password for like 100 times. I can't see any solution on the internet. PLEASE HELP ME.
- I can't enter safe mode.
- "Ease of Access" and "Shut Down" buttons on password screen are not working.

I need to do some project urgently so please help.

*Asus X401U
*AMD Processor
*350GB Hard Disk
*3GB Ram

AND IT HAS NO CD-ROM SO I CAN'T FIX IT THROUGH WINDOWS 8 CD.

How many accounts do you have on it? Try a different account, also have you tried to just not enter a password and just click thru? also if you have a "hot" windows on your puter you may have been...um caught?

The same happened to me a while back. I received an email from Microsoft asking me if I had a second email account as they wanted to send a 'code' to me. I did as they asked and they sent me a number and loads of waffle which I chose to ignore. A while back I went to use my hated Windows 8 laptop in order to play a DVD to find that I was 'locked out' and there is nothing that can be done about it - I then found that I was also locked out of my hotmail account - not that that mattered as I prefer Gmail but still meant that spent a couple of hours updating all my accounts etc off hotmail. I have tried everything. The only solution is to 'throw' the windows8 laptop in the bin and buy a Chromebook because there does not appear to be a solution I have tried and tried and tried until I was in tears and as for getting in touch with Microsoft there doesn't appear to be anyone there at all.

Its interesting that you should say that because I am in the same situation and guess what that does not work. They keep sending me back to the same page and asking me for a code - I don't have the number which they sent to my Gmail account because I deleted it
