Here's my situation. I have Windows 7 Home Premium with Avira free, and every now & then, it shows a small window saying that a threat has been found, or that the software has been updated, etc. I have no problem with this. The problem I have is that sometimes the little window does not disappear, but lingers in a translucent state - and most importantly, I can't click on anything behind it, as when I click on it, the damn Avira website gets actuated. There does not seem to be an X either (it probably is on the outside, which is past the confines of the desktop.
Short of uninstalling Avira or rebooting - or waiting for the damn window to get active again, at which time hopefully it will disappear like it is supposed to, I don't know what to do!
