is the LG D2343P 5ms or 14ms response time?

Solution
GTG/GRAY TO GRAY is the time it take a pixel on the panel to change from GREY to WHITE then back to GREY. This time is typically a shorter time than other scales, hence why they use it ... it a marketing thing.

Some manufacturers will still list BTB which is BLACK to WHITE to BLACK typically longer time.

Anything with 8ms GTG or below will be low enough for games and movies.

I don't understand... i am not sure if you understand my question... I am talking about only one monitor here... the specs says

Response time : 14ms
Response time (GTG): 5ms

what is the difference between the GTG response time and response time?

GTG response time is much different to BTB response time. GTG is only changing from one colour to another, and this is where manufacturers will get you, because there is no real official way to test GTG response time, because different companies will test with different colours to get the smallest number possible and to make the monitor seem faster than it actually is. Generally, the BTB response time is what you want to be looking at. Your monitor has a BTB of 14 ms, with that you will definitely see some ghosting on faced-paced games.
