Usable RAM 2.18gb out of 8gb

So on my new Lenovo y510p, windows detects all 8gb or RAM, but only 2.18 of them are usable. What might be the reason for that, and what's the solution to fixing this problem.
Edit: Win8 is 32 bit if you can't understand from the picture.

That usually happens when you're runnin onboard video. It chews it up running the your graphics. Try adjusting your pc performance and see if it free up some ram. Look at programs that are in your start up as well. Run msconfig and check out things you can pair off to free up some system resources. Most programs like to set themselves to run on startup, but you can usually shut off itunes or garbage. See if that helps. Good luck.

I have this computer for less then 24h, all I had time to do is instal Windows 8, the drivers and like 3 applications. There is literally nothing that starts the same time as the computer.

Edit: Forgot to say that I have a dedicated GT755M.
