I've got a problems setting up my RAM to 1866mhz (Just bought Corsair Vengeance 2x8gb 1866mhz and an AMD FX-8350).
So everyting works fine when set to default (1333mhz memory frequency) but as soon as I try to set it to 1866 my computer's getting stuck befor selecting boot option. Asus loggo shows up and then it goes black with a blinking underline.
I can no longer enter BIOS without hitting CMOS reset button on the back of my motherboard.

I've updated to last version BIOS on my 2 year old Crosshair V Formula. (no Z)

I noticed the Vengeance carton box says "Supports Intel Core + Core i7", does it mean AMD is not supported for 1866mhz with this product? The FX-8350 supports this memory frequency.

I read a thread with a simular error:
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1722255/sabertooth-z87-corsair-vengeance-1866mhz-stable-1333mhz.html

Also I'm clueless when it comes to manual overclocking.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

No I did not, and looking in BIOS right now that option is quite far away from the frequency setting. It did not come to mind.
Also I have no ideé of what to change in there?
How does one figure that out?

*UPDATE* Did some googleing, and got a youtube guide with the same ram and motherboard, Timing fixed the issue.
thanks for pointing it out for me! <3
