Hello! i am planning on upgrading my pc and among other parts(i5 cpu , 8gb ram ddr3) there's this graphic card http://

i want to ask about powering the card.... it requires one 8-pin pci express cable and one 6pin pci express cable... My psu( thermaltake toughpower 700watt) which is 5-6 years old has only two 6-pin cables and no 8-pin. what if i use adapters such as those? the firts takes two 6-pin cables and gives one 8-pin and the second takes two molex and gives one 6pin...Will my card run properly and with the power needed if i use those adapters??

thanks for the answers! i've read that one 6-pin to 8-pin adapter alone may not supply the card properly because of the watt each cable transfers...6-pin transfers about 75watt and 8-pin 150watt if i remember correctly..... if i chose the adapter that you suggested will i transfer less power to the card? ( in comparison with the first two adapters) i just want to understand how this works.... thanks again...

Yeah, better to use 2x6pin to 8pin adapter than 6pin to 8pin, but i don't understand why my GPU came with that 6pin to 8pin adapter and not like what you mentioned. I found thread about same thing

Your GPU probably came with a 6pin to 8pin in case you didn't have any other adapter to use as a temporary workaround.
