Hi guys,

Firstly, I'd just like to say thank y'all for the invaulable knowledge & insight I've gained from the forums in the past few years. I've finally decided to join, and excited to contribute in making TH an even better community..

So! I'm the systems admin for a local high school as a side job while finishing my degree. Our main computer "lab" is in dire need of a complete overhaul, and I've come to you guys for some help. I've never taken on a job of this scale, and I'm unsure how to source all the parts effectively in regards to cost & reputation of the retailer/reseller. The current setup consists of 30 machines, all oem HP's, running p4's, 2 gigs of ram, sata 3gb low capacity drives, & onboard graphics. In short-we're really overdue for this update.

I've noticed that all the usual suspects-newegg, microcenter, tigetdirect, amazon-have strict limits on how many of any given component one can buy, especially cpu's. Is there appropriate retail/oem channels one can contact when purchasing harware for a business/educational institution like a school? I know microsoft has a seperate division just for this type of thing for their software solutions, but this does little help for us, as he have all the software we need.

Any help would be great apprecited, even if it's a nod towards another forum which may be appropriate for this inquiry.

Cheers!
