I have a HP Pavillion P6 which i bought 03/2013, i have just installed a AMD A10 6800k CPU with the stock cooler, my question is what cooler do i need to keep it at a healthy temp as i only have 4 screw holes to deal with?, i have been trawling the interweb but im becoming overwelmed with all the choices and i only have 140mm MAX hight to play with...also how do i know if my MOBO has a backplate?

Any advice would be gratefully recieved

If you are not going to overclock the APU and the case has sufficient air flow, there's no pressing need to replace the stock cooler.

I'm not sure what you are asking per the backplate. If this is like your PC, and you look at the pic of the rear of the case, you will see a rectangular insert where the I/O ports poke through. That is your backplate.

Btw, if that is what your MB and cooler looks like, you have a proprietary MB that won't readily accept standard coolers.
