Hi guys,
I am planning on upgrading my build with another gtx770. please see my configs below. After I installed another 770, the computer wont start up. I am assuming the PSU is not enough. But I have 850w already. So I did some calculations online. It says i need 1200w for my current build. Does it really need that much?

thanks for the quick reply.
so my 850w is definitely not enough for the set up now to upgrade another 770?
how come in other threads people are suggesting 850w should be fine.
Which part in my config is consuming unnecessary energy?

No 850W Is fine you defenitly dont need a 1000W PSU Unless you where SLI 780Ti

EDIT : A 760W PSU Is Enough For 780Ti in SLI

I wish 850 was fine too. But I installed another 770 on my computer, the machine just simply wont start up. And if I unplug the additional 770, it starts up.
I mean if I really need to get a bigger PSU, I'll probably just return the extra 770. Or im wondering theres some settings in the BIOS or something that limit how much power you can use.
If my PSU doesnt support that much power, why it gives me 2 extra 6pins and 8pins

If You are looking to buy a PSU this is your best option since your PSU is Tier 3-4 (Cant Remember) : Same Price but corsair Is BETTER :p ;)

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220p21000xr

EDIT : There both Tier 1 PSUs, the EVGA one is 1000W and the Corsair 860W With Corsair Link
