Trouble opening PDFs in paint. PLEASE HELP!!!

I need to erase and insert/type text on my documents and I recently reinstalled windows on my computer and everything is erased on my computer, besides the point, I need something that can open pdfs and send it to paint without any error messages. The error message that I get is that "Paint cannot read this file. This is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is not currently supported." I tried using foxit reader and adobe reader XI. What can I do to fix these problems.

Thank you so much!!!!!!!! I sent the document as a pdf whereas I should of changed the format of it to jpeg. Your awesome!
