identifying my GPU

ordered and received a geforce 8800 gt. installed it and nvidia says its a geforce 9800 when i have them to identify it. the description in box said.. HP 5189-4534 geforce 8800 gt 512MB video card OEM the pics i have looked at, it looks like a 8800. how can i tell for sure?

Go To "Start" Type "Run" In the Search Thing, Then another Window should appear, then write "DxDiag" Go To Display settings and there you can see your system specs

The 9800 is just a rebranded 8800. FOr more info on the card try gpuz.

Download a software called GPU-Z it will tell you everything you need to know about your graphics card

8800 GT and 9800 GT it's the same card (they only changed the name in the new generation), maybe it's an error reading there, but it is the same.
