Spontaneous Shut Down

My computer is an i7 with a fairly large graphics card that is in a proportionally smallish case. I'm not sure if its ram, CPU, or overheating but my computer will shut down while running A: several smaller tasks, or B: playing a large game. Help to determine the error would be appreciated!

spec would be better, then what the size of the thing is.

Thermal... get a moniotring tool... I use the Intel Extreme Tuning application to monitor temps while doing stuff... I also have dual monitors (helps to see)

The actual size of the housing is an average size however allot of the internal space is taken by the graphics card
