I just started my first build, and everything works fine except for my graphics card (Geforce GTX 760) when I try to download the Driver I get a notification that there is not the necessary hardware being detected.

I have already tried that, and I have downloaded the newest drivers and they gave me the same message

There are a total of 14 pin slots on the card

Currently, I have two power cables that are 6 pins, but each have a 2 pin offshoot

I unplugged the Graphics Card, and turned on the computer, with it plugged into my mother board, I then realized that the graphics card is leeching too much energy from the other components and that my 650 Watt power supply needs to be upgraded

Quality good 650W PSU should be enough for SLI of GTX-760 so i think your PSU is defective or one of the PCI-E X16 slots defective, you should hook up all power cables on your GPU 6pin and 6+2pin and then plug your monitor (DVI, HDMI, D-Sub, Display Port) cable directly to your GPU port!

When I did that all I got was a black screen

Admirable
your psu is a good build quality but you may have just got a defective one, try it in a different pcie slot to rule out the mother board(if you have one). can you try the card in another system....the only real way to trouble shoot is to either try the card in a differetn setup or try a different psu in your system.

so I tried it in another pcie slot, and the monitor turns on when its connected to the motherboard, but when I try loading the driver with it like that, I get the same response as before
