my toshiba 500GB hard drive is broken, the USB connector is broken and it it inside the hard drive, i want to open the hard drive for repair. please help

Is the drive still under warranty? If yes, you may consider returning it for a replacement. The downside is that you would lose all of your data. The other option is to open the drive's case, remove the drive and either connect it inside the computer or purchase a SATA to USB cable, drive dock or another external drive enclosure and connect it to the computer that way.
