I'm new to this so I hope someone can help me out. I've put together a computer using a GA-A55M-DS2 motherboard and I'd like to add a better graphics card. I had a Radeon HD 4670 in my old computer and added that but I'd like to upgrade. My goal is better gaming.

I have a 500 watt power supply
Windows 7
8 GB memory and 931 GB memory
64 bit operating system

It takes a PCIe 2 but I've read on this forum that I can use a PCIe 3 (thanks) but, while I want great graphics, I don't want to "over buy" if there was such a thing. Is there a point at which I won't see a difference or should I just get what I can afford. I just don't want to screw anything up or waste money.

Thanks in advance.
