What happens if I connect my laptop (with 1980x1080 resolution) to a 1600x900 monitor? Will I get a bad quality image?

Solution

Set the resolution after you connect the monitor, it may even set automatically. As long as you run at the native resolution of the screen it will look good. Thats why 1600x900 looks awful on a 1920x1080 screen

So if I set my resolution to 1600x900 in my computer and after I connect it to the monitor the image will be very good?
Because if I set my resolution to 1600x900 in my laptop, the image is really bad and some things pain to fit in the screen.
