I have a Compaq presario CQ62 with Windows 7 Home premium and a Realtek RTL8191SE 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter and I'm having problems Staying connected to the internet.
First I have to disable my WiFi adapter then enable it just to see the networks available then once I'm connected to my wifi network after about as little as 30 seconds to 2mins I'm disconnected from the network and furthermore not only am I disconnected but my WiFi adapter says "Not connected - No connections are available".
Things I've tried already:
-I went into my network connections and disabled/ enabled my WiFi network cconnection. Same results as above.
-I ran the troubleshoot diagnosis wizard thing a few times and it said it resolved the problems. Same results as above though, still not able to stay connected for very long.
-I've also noticed that I have 3 network connections. One Ethernet (which is currently disabled), 2 WiFi. The one titled "Wireless Network Connection" is using the Realtek adapter device mentioned in the first paragraph. However, I also have another named "Wireless Network Connection 2" whose device name is "Microsoft Virtual WiFi mini port Adapter" which is currently disabled.
-under the properties of the Realtek adapter the device status claims to be working properly and the power management box is unchecked as well.
-I have also tries unchecking the IPv6 box for the Realtek device leading to the same results as above, connects shortly then disconnect and says no connections available.
-I also tried to update the Realteks driver and it says the best driver software already installed.
I hope one of yout out there can help me cause this is serioualy so annoying. Idk if it matters but I checked and im not using any type of proxies. I'd any of you prefer to contact me directly you can email me at clockworkx@mail.com or not, doesn't matter. If anyone nneed furather iformation about any variables or hard/software info please ask! Any and all help or augfwations is geatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time, ladies and gents.
