r9 270x crossfire or r9 290x.
which one is better.
i don't care about the problems xfire has i just want to know which is better. if the xfire isn't better than 290x is it better than the 290

It's always better to get one high end card than two middle range cards and crossfire them :)

Depends on your gaming resolution. If you'll be playing on a 1080p monitor, xfire 270x will outperform a single 290x almost every time. The gap will narrow for higher resolutions. While you might be able to save $100 by going 270x in xfire, keep in mind you'll be adding more heat, more noise, and will need a motherboard with two 16x pcie slots to take full advantage. I've been running 270x in xfire for several months and wish I had done the 290x. You can always toss in another 290x down the road if you need a boost.
