So few months ago I installed Nvidia GT 610 on my PC because that was the only card which was in my budget
So I tried the following games at 1024x768 resolution(little less because I've CRT Monitor)-
Batman Arkham Origins-High Settings
Black Ops 2- high settings except shadows to low
Assassin's Creed III- Full settings
Assassin's Creed IV- Medium Low Settings( disappointed)
Arkham City- High settings

Note- I mean that it is a mid end card, most people on internet says that it is low end card and it could not run any game before 2010.

When I search on internet about the card review most people say "that its a terrible card" and some sites like gamedebate and systemrequirements lab show most of the games above stated as unplayable(showing false result).
So why there is so much of misunderstanding about this card, is it because of the last two digits 6-10 or sites like gamedebate carries wrong information.

Perhaps youtube is the best site where at least there are videos showing the gameplay of games on GT 610.

The 610 is a bottom of the barrel, lowest of the low entry video card you can get. You cant play games at a resolution that was relevant 10 years ago and say its a good middle of the pack card. It isnt. But it really depends on the person using it. If its good enough for you, thats all that matters. But it really isnt a good gaming card in any way, shape or form.

It is a terrible card. That fact that you can play some games at 1024x768 doesnt prove anything. Thats a very low resolution, and you havent said what FPS you get.

The fact is, that a card like the old 8800GTX released in 2006, would blow the GT610 out of the water.

If someone had a budget that low, I would have recommended a used GTX 460 or something.

I ask you, have you ever used a good mid range card to compare? As if you have no point for comparison, I can understand why you might think the GT610 is good.

I plays at less than 1080p even at 720p it struggles to hold 30FPS in AC3. COD isnt hard to run and i doubt that the gt 610 runs at high at 60FPS. All Arkham games run on UE3 is superiorly optimized engine that isn't taxing on GPU's Could be run on maximum on a geforce 8800

^+1 Completely agree. Whilst these things are subjective, you can't deny the facts. It IS low-end. It does perform poorly generally speaking (in a world of high end gaming/consoles) specially when compared to modern systems. So as much as you'd like your card to mid-range or at least better considered by the tech community, it's entry level, and that's the bottom line.

Video cards ratings are primarily based on how they perform at 1080p or higher resolution. I am kind you seem satisfied with the 610, it is basically for watching movies anf other light tasks. You happen to use a very low resolution which enhances it's abilities.

My first GPU upgrade and I regret it the price is so much for its minimal performance you can just save a little bit more money and get a better card for its price(maybe save more about half of its price and you can get a gpu that is 2x better or more),I actually play bioshock infinite,FC3,dishonored and some other games @ 720p at lowest settings and get a 27fps top average is like 23 or something and a lot of fps drop which makes my gaming horrible.

And no its not a "mid end card" its not even in the benchmark test in some websites, you can play games cause you have a CRT MONITOR that General PC users don't have(too old ) your almost close playing @ 800x600.

So for the PC gamers out there,if your thinking getting this card don't!you'll regret it,maybe a 6670/7750 gddr5 will be the bottomline for a gaming gfx card.

Well for the OP, I'm glad that your enjoying this little card :bounce:
