Hi All,

I am looking to upgrade to a SSD for my PC which i mainly use for gaming. Currently I have a Seagate 2TB HDD and would like to install a SSD just for the OS in order to make things quicker. I am tempted to get the Samsung 840 EVO 120GB from Amazon for 62.99. It has lots of good reviews but I have read that there is an issue with these and AMD chips. I currently have the FX 4170.

Can anyone recommend the best SSD for around the 60 pound price range?

I wouldn't look past the 840 evo. It's one of the fastest perfroming ssds on the market, and also by far the best value. i don't think you'll find any issues with the amd chip. I have the 840 evo (with intel) and love it. I know someone with it with an amd processer and he loves it.
