Hi:

I bought an LG DVD ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... )burner and Im not sure if I should connect it to a Sata 6Gb/s port or if it does not take advantage of the bigger bandwidth at all.

I have an Asrock Z77 Pro3 Motherboard.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

It won't even take full advantage of the 3 Gb/s speeds. I'd put it into the 3 Gb/s port to leave your 6 Gb/s ports open for further expansion like SSDs.
