Hi there. Yesterday something very stupid happened. I was doing a favor so I had to unplug my internet cable, I did it with my pc turned off, after I finished I plugged it again and turned on, for some reason when my lock screen loaded there was no internet but I couldn't do anything else, not even put my password or access the reset/power off buttons. So I did a hard reset, and then it happened again. I turned it off, reseted my modem but when I turned it on voila, there was no boot. After checking the bios my ssd was not listed, and it is still missing, this is what I have tried:

Reseting the MOS
swaping cables
doing a full ssd power cyrcle

What I do notice is that when the ssd is plugged in the bios takes a while too long to load just after loading ahci mode. Is the ssd dead? Thanks

Solution
First, nothing you did should have caused this problem. It sounds like coincidence.

Your SSD might be dead, or there might be a loose connection with the Sata data/power cables but it's difficult to say.

The easiest way to check is to connect the SSD to an existing system and see if it shows up. This can affect the Boot Order on the other PC so you may have to change that so the proper boot drive is first (not your SSD). Then see if your SSD appears in the other PC in Windows Explorer (should see the folders).

If it's not there, not even under Disk Management then it's likely dead.

OTHER:
1) Boot to an UBuntu DVD and see if it appears

2) verify cables, try different Sata connection on mobo etc

*However, if the SSD is simply not...

a) defective SSD
b) bad cable or loose connection
c) onboard SATA issue (try different SATA color connection which means different controller)
