Hi all
Im currently using a gtx 285 in my secondary rig which I want to upgrade. My options are a gtx 560 ($80) non ti or a second gtx 285 used, good condition for sli ( dirt cheap at $10). Which option is better and what performance benefit would I get from sli. Also my power supply should be able to handle sli its about 750watts and I dont really care about power consumption.

They look like similar gpus for performance so try the sli with the 285. I'd have to guess you'd run at least 50% faster than a single 560. The downside is the 285 does not have DX11, the 560 does. You'll lose some eye candy but gain fps.

Technically the 285 SLI will be better. Check out this review between 280 SLI vs a 570.

However, I usually recommend upgrading to newer tech and I'd probably do that if you have the ability.

I am a budget gamer/overclocker. I would go with the 560. I use a 460 768MB FPB, and it works just fine in games like war thunder, even maxed out. It will pull 1 TFlop at maximum performance.
