How do I get rid of this microphone noise?

I have this issue with my microphone creating this noise, it's annoying me and it's annoying my friends. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?

plug your computer right into the wall not a power strip. you have to have a good ground on that power cord or else it will make a ground loop of electricity going through the mic creating that humm.

I tried that, it did not work. My headset is a USB headset.

I have a desktop, plus my power cord has the third prong.

Try a different usb port? one right on the motherboard not a front panel or like.

Nope, still not working properly. I even plugged it in, in USB 2.0 and USB 3.0

Well try looking for a setting called "AGC" or "MicBoost" and try shutting it off. see what that does?

yep, Might be the mic. . . you never really hear anything real good about the usb mic's anyways. Sorry about that, and sorry about not fixing your problem. I feel like I just ran you in circles. ha. . . well I guess thats how it goes, right?
