Hey guys.
I needed help configuring my girlfriend's new computer. She uses a computer that takes 10 minutes to load up to windows currently.
I wanted to build her a desktop using an APU since I thought it was a good choice for a budget build without needing to buy a separate graphic card.
She doesn't game much and the games she play are not very graphic intense.
I am trying to keep the budget under $500.
I was going to use either
1. A10-7850k or A10-6800k.
2. Ram. I don't know what ram was needed for the a10. I remember reading somewhere that
apu synergy a lot better with a faster ram. What ram should I put in this.
3. What motherboard do you recommend for the apu build?
Local microcenter has bundle savings on cpu+motherboard.
Motherboards are A. http://Asus A55BM-E
B. http://GA-F2A88XM-D3H
C. http://Asus A88XM-A
D. http://Asrock FM2A88M-HD+
4. What should be the wattage on the power supply?

Will Appreciate Any Help!! I have built only one computer so far for myself and not very experienced.

Hey, thanks for the detailed response.

Is there a reason for this build instead of the build using the APU?

An i3 is like, 5 times better than an AMD APU. It is already an APU. Since your girlfriend games a little, go with the gpu mentioned. Although, games like minecraft, lol, tf2 will work w/o the gpu..

Yes, the CPU power of the i3 is much greater than that of the APU. If she does not play demanding games, she may not even need the graphics card, as the Intel IGP may be enough. You said she does play some games though, so it may be worthwhile depending on what they are.
