Hey guys I have this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/37HUX and before you tell me I need to upgrade, I know I will be doing so later with RAM and GPU. But this CPU and GPU should do me fine for the games I play, Now I was wondering would this GPU fit in this motherboard since it is 3.0 and i couldnt find anywhere wehre it says 3.0 on the motherboard. Also is this all compatible with one another? Should I worry about any issues with building it together?

I couldn't find any direct comparison but the R7 250x is a rebranding of the HD 7770 so I doubt there will be much of a difference. Did you think about getting a faster GPU though? The FX 6300 certainly isn't the fastest CPU around, but most games will be bottlenecked by your GPU anyway. You could greatly improve your PCs performance by spending some extra $$$ on the GPU.

http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R7-250-vs-Radeon-HD-7770 Exactly what is a bottleneck? I don't think I can spend any more money on it, unless I get a lower CPU. The A8-6600K is on sale now, I could probably get that but would it be good for minecraft since it is a CPU intensive game?

nonono. Don't go lower than the FX 6300. When a part is a bottleneck it means it slows the system down because it is the weakest link in the chain. You should definitely stick with the FX generation though. If you can't afford a better GPU as is, then just leave it at what you have.

Would it be a huge noticable bottleneck? Like will it be pretty obvious or just a little change in speed? Oh a HD 7770 or GTX 650?

Well the thing is this: Most games are incredibly GPU bound, meaning they depend more on the performance of your GPU than CPU. So in games that aren't CPU bound where the FX 6300 is fast enough to deliver 30fps+ you might still have to set the graphic options down, because your GPU can't keep up. If you had a GPU that is twice as fast for example and you decided to max out a modern game @1080p, you would probably also get twice as many FPS in that game. If you had a GPU that was four times as fast, you probably wouldn't get four times the performance, because the CPU couldn't keep up. In some more CPU intensive games like Battlefield or strategy game, your CPU would be the limiting factor anyway.

There are basically two components: Balancing and future-proofing. If you get a slower CPU and a faster GPU, you will get a better performance in many games. However in the future your CPU might then be too slow and you can't just upgrade your GPU to get a better performance. You'd also have to upgrade your CPU, which would mean a motherboard upgrade as well. That's why getting a slower CPU than the FX 6300 is not a good idea. You will regret it later. If you could keep the CPU and get a better GPU that would be best. You could also get the FX 6300 with the R7 250x now and upgrade the GPU some time in the future when you have more money.

You can find out all of this yourself. Just google benchmarks for your CPU and GPU. Google "FX 6300 Benchmark" or "HD 7770 Benchmark" and you can compare yourself. You don't need to know anything about the details of the hardware. Just make sure you compare parts of the same benchmarks. Here is a benchmark to compare the 650 vs the HD 7770 for example:

Many models will come with a factory overclock. All those with a custom cooler usually are already overclocked. You can also do it yourself. You should also get a decent CPU cooler like the Evo 212. You could then overclock the CPU too. I think the FX overclocks pretty well. You can figure out how to do that once you have decided on the parts and ordered them.
