I ran this partly because i was curious and partly because i was having a shut-down issue before which i now know the cause. I got quite a few errors, but are they anything to be concerned about?

The " Errors" are not well named. They just mean the system is not set to save every ounce of power it can.

So not powering down usb ports/mice/keyboards or allowing sleep are all "errors" to the energy report. Nothing actually wrong with it.

I think it is also meant to be run at a dead idle because it will call a program using less than 10% of the cpu as using lots of resources.

Heck, mine is set to disallow sleep(in power options) when media is playing so it can not sleep with music playing even.

Checkout last time I ran it

  1. CPU Utilization:Individual process with significant processor utilization.
  2. This process is responsible for a significant portion of the total processor utilization recorded during the trace.
  3. Process Name HWMonitor_x64.exe
  4. PID 1288
  5. Average Utilization (%) 1.92
  6. Module Average Module Utilization (%)

  9. \SystemRoot\System32\win32k.sys 0.04
