Which monitor is best for me?

I want to get a knew monitor but i didn't know which was best for me a 144hz 1080p monitor or a 1440p monitor these are the ones i was looking at.

I was wondering which was best because right now i only get about 50fps on farcry 3 right now with my old 1080p monitor so i didn't know if i could game in 1440p with a ok frame rate. I was wondering if anyone could help me choose which one is best because i am kind of a noob when it comes to this stuff.

1440p Will be more demanding than 1080p.

I have a 144Hz monitor, and I must say. It's amazing.

144Hz looks a lot smoother than 60.

the difference between 1080p and 1440p isn't big at all.



So my recommendation would be the 144Hz monitor.

You don't get less frame rate with 144Hz.

Though you need to reach 144 fps to utilize the monitors 144Hz refresh rate.
