CORSAIR XMS 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) is the memory I currently own, I bought it possibly in early 2011 and it's been through a couple of my builds (it test out fine).

My newish Motherboard the M5A99FX Pro R2 is paired with my newish cpu the FX-8350 Vishera.

I noticed after updating my bios that my memory was registering around 1155mhz in the BIOS and when I try to manually change my memory to the correct timings, voltage and speed that my bios just freezes when I 'save and refresh' (the mouse locks up and it will just sit their until I reset the computer).

Here is the Manual for my motherboard, my memory isn't currently listed in the manual but it should work none the less, correct? If so what would you guys suggest for me to do next?

Here is my CPU-Z Profile

Solution
CPU-Z shows BUS Speed at 215.31. This is overclocking the CPU and RAM.

After updating the BIOS always "Load Optimized Defaults" from the BIOS Exit Menu or by pressing F5 in the BIOS.
Then you can set the AI Overclock Tuner to "D.O.C.P" (DRAM Overclocking Profile). If this continues to overclock the CPU, then try using the [Manual] setting on the AI Overclock Tuner. Then manually set the memory parameters. Be sure that the DRAM Voltage is running at 1.65v with that memory.

Why did you update your BIOS? Did you have issues with it? If not try reverting back to the old version and see if the sticks work correctly. The golden rule of BIOS updates: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Going on Calvin's Advice, I tried what he said but my bios kept locking up so I went ahead and installed the latest bios with the ASUS Flashback Feature on the Motherboard (using a usb drive and the little button on the board). Solved my problems right away.

Now I can edit everything and I am relatively happy.
