Is this system balanced and able to run the best games?

CPU: AMD FX 6300 Black Edition

CPU Cooler: Zalman CNPS5X Performa

Operating System: Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P

RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333mhz (1x8GB)

Hard Drive: 1TB S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s

Graphics card: AMD Radeon R9 270X 2GB

Case: Zalman Z3 Plus

PSU: 550W Corsair VS

GTX-760 costs lower than R9 270X and you can get 2x4 1600Mhz the difference in price is not that big!

Yes, it is fairly balanced, and yes it will run current games. I'd get a 2x4GB RAM kit though to run in dual-channel mode, it will be a little faster.

gtx 760 doesnt cost less than r9 270x I thought and how much of a noticable difference does 2x4 make compared to 1x8?

If I remember correctly from some old articles, the difference is 3%-5%, depending on the application. Someone else please chime in if you have more recent data.
