So I just got my Gigabyte gtx 770 today and the first game I tested was World of Warcraft because that's what I play most. This card powers through it and I know I don't need something this powerful, HOWEVER, about 5-10 mins into it the fans according to HWmonitor are 2100 rpms and the temps are increasing pretty consistently and I can't hear my youtube video playing on my laptop next to me which I never touch the volume level on. I exited the game after it passed 72 C because my old MSI twin frozr gtx 660 on same game and same settings, ran quieter and cooler. So my question is: is it normal for the gigabyte 770 to run louder and hotter than an msi 660 running the same game and same settings for WoW??? The gigabyte card sounds like an airplane whereas my old msi card's fans only sounded like that when the fans revved up for about 5 secs to cool off before settling down again.
Here are my specs and case:
Intel i7-3770k stock
8GB corsair vengeance
750w Corsair HX power supply
1080p monitor
Rosewill Blackhawk case 5 fans

It's most likely 1 of 2 things.

1) You're running an old driver or wrong driver and it's causing your card to do things it's not suppose to do. Try reinstalling the correct driver and try again.

2) Defective card. Contact MSI or the store which you bought it from, and try to get a replacement.
