I watch movies/TV shows all the time on my computer and they play just fine when that's the only thing the PC is doing. If I do something as simple as scrolling a forum it will cause the video to freeze for a couple seconds while the audio is just fine. Here is my setup
Win7 professional
AMD FX quad core
8GB Ram
NVIDA GeForce 8400 (running 1680x1050 22" monitor)
NVIDA GeForce GT 430 (running 1920x1090 the TV videos freeze on)
All videos are played through VLC media player.
Any idea whats causing this? I think I have more than enough processing power to handle a simple video playing and some web browsing.
