I’ve got Asrock Extreme Z77 freshly connected to XFX P1-650X-XXB9. The motherboard powered up the first time but then it didn’t the second time. I checked if this is the issue with the front switch, having an old case, but it wouldn’t react even to its own power switch being pressed. I then wanted to check if my power supply is faulty and connected an old 350W one. It did react but something burnt around the power connector area. I panicked but checked the XFX again and it did power up again, but then wouldn’t have it the second time again. I pressed the 24-pin connector firmly, but nothing..
I bought the motherboard off ebay and I am concerned it might be faulty. I didn’t use an anti static wristband when hooking everything up, is it possible it made it bad? Or perhaps my PSU is faulty?
Could anyone please help?
