The msi motherboard has more updated features, I have had a good experience with msi I recently used about 10 of their more updated 1150 version of a board that was a lot like that one just with a couple new upgrades. They all have been running great for my clients for the past 4 months. Gigabyte is solid and durable but I have been noticing a lot that they just kind of lack at least on that model on the newer technologies that are available. I had the ud4h which was the fm1 version of that board like 2 years ago, I mean it ran good, but the funny bios setup was a turn off, the first board that I got went bad in a month and they pretty much wanted to go to war with me asking questions every time I would call for rma information. I always love the extra features on the gaming motherboards though, Gigabyte boards are good for things like I used to use them on all of my clients pc's until they screwed me over with 3 boards with bent pins and refusing an rma. But I always say go with what ever company you have had the best experience with in the past
