Well, as the title said, I'm having an issue. I got 2 brand new PCs for Christmas, both identical. One is perfect, and rarely ever has had a problem. But, the second one. Oh boy. The incident has been ever since the PC was made, but it's been happening more and more frequently. At first it happened like every 2 hours, now, it's about every 10 mins. My PC is in a state where it's almost unusable. Everywhere I read says it's either an overheat, or the PSU. I don't think it's an overheat. I've watched my temps as I game, and when it shuts off (it shuts off without warning i.e: no blue screen) the temps are 60C for the CPU and 70C for my 780 card. How can I target the problem? Note, I don't have a 2nd PSU to use for testing. Please help. This PC is driving me insane.

My Specs:

Mobo: Gigabyte Z87X- UD4H
CPU: Intel core I5 4670k @ 3.4 GHz (Not over clocked)
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 780 3GB
PSU: Cosair AX760 (760 watt)
Case: Fractal Design R4
My CPU cooler was the Hyper 212 Evo but it turns out it's not compatible with the new intel 1150 socket for the CPU, so I'm using the stock cooler ATM.

Thanks for the help :)

Also, I previously thought it was just when I game, but I was watching youtube and it crashed. :(

Please help!

the cpu and gpu are to hot from those postings. the evo should fit fine it listed to fit intel did not change the hole placemnt from the 1150/155 mb. make sure your using the intel brackets not the amd ones. the intel bracket has three screw spots on it for 2011/755/1150/1155 mb. if your unit is one of the older ones missing the three screw whole brackets contact evo for the missing brackets. on the stock cooler make sure all the legs are locked and the cpu cooler not moving. it a know issue for the intel stock cooler not to latch down to the cpu. if the cpu cooler not on tight at sitting on the desktop you get warm temps. 50-60c. you should get 30-40c with the stock cooler if it on right. on the gpu use msi afterburner turn the card down to stock speeds and make sure the fan running. at no load the card should be sitting at 30-40c. use msi afterburner to see if the gpu fan is working..turn it up and see if you hear it spin up.

with the motherboard make sure the bios is updated and in the bios xmp profile is turn on and your ram running at the right speed (cpu-z). also run from a boot disk memtest 86. if you think your having power issue pull the gpu and run on the onboard video. if the system is more stable...then looking at power supply issues.

Thank you for the informative reply; Just a note that those temps I gave you are under load. The idle temps are 31C for Cpu and 29-30c for the gpu. Now knowing that those are under load temps, are they still too high?

no there within normal running for a gaming pc. in the motherboards are health screen go into yours look at the power supply voltages make sure there within atx spec and see if the rig shuts down sitting there. watch the 12/3.3/5v lines see if any of them drop before the shut down. use windows programs to show you your power supply output in windows watch the 12v rail. if the unit having issue that rail the one that will drop.

I have not tried watching my voltages yet, but here's this. The top 3 are from today. This really scares me: http://puu.sh/7s2Cq.png
