Is the R9 270x Vapor-X quieter and cooler than the HD 7870?

I must choose between these two; both are Sapphire. The 7870 is the standard, run of the mill GHz edition. Will the r9 270x vapor be quieter and cooler?

The noise of the vga depends mostly on the aftermarket cooler it has. If you are running on reference fan then its hella loud. But if you purchase something like Asus DCUII, MSI Twin Frozr or other fans then you are sure that they are quiter and cooler :)
