Is 1GB GDDR5 VRAM enough?

Hey guys just wanted to ask that if 1GB of DDR5 VRAM is enough?
I would be doing 3D modelling, photoshop, after effects etc.
I have an 8 core system btw.
The card I am choosing is an AMD HD 7770

I was actually going for Nvidia's GTX 750Ti but ended up falling short on cash...

More about 1gb gddr5 vram
  1. VRAM does not affect performance, it affects FPS when displaying on huge resolution such as 3 x 1080p monitors.

    I have a 1366x768 display, i guess that'd be alright?
  3. You are perfectly fine with the 7770 with 1GB VRAM.

If you want a card similar to the 750ti but a bit cheaper look at a 260X 2GB, it's more costly than the 7770 of course though.
  4. I would advise getting a bit of a better card if you're doing 3d rendering. If you could stretch your budget a bit. It isn't just about the vram, it's also about the cores and speeds

1 GB of VRAM is sufficient even for 1080p.

Actually 3D rendering is a CPU intensive task instead of Graphics Card. Its purpose is to diplay the model with a nice and sustained frame rate. And as I sauid earlier, my CPU has 8 cores thats pretty OK to render out basic animations and pics. I just wanted to know if the VRAM would make much difference as the clock speed is quite decent.
