Hi Gericc,

To be honest if your planning on building a rig.

The best thing to do is go to https://pcpartpicker.com/

That way depending on your plans, you should be able to get a list of parts for the build based on your budget.

Then post the pick list link back to the forum for suggestions.
People will tell you if you require a bigger wattage of PSU for the parts you have selected for the build.

It will also depend on how often you wish to upgrade or add parts to the rig at a later date. But as a general rule a Psu of a higher wattage is always handy.
For future after thought of upgrading the rig to avoid power problems.

What I can say is don`t skimp on the brand, go for a well know name and trusted, though it may be more expensive. Its one of the key components of your new rig or build.
And since everything works from it. It best to ensure with a quality Psu if anything goes wrong with it, or blows you will have protection from taking other parts of the rig or build with it.

Often buying a cheap PSU, Can be more costly in the long run, buy blowing and taking expensive parts with it of the rig you built, having to replace them also in the process. You get more power protection features with a well branded PSU and often the wattage stated is close to it maximum output.

Where as with cheap ones, they often reach no where near the wattage stated on them.
