So, I bought a Corsair VS 550 for my Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 but when i installed the psu in my Inspiron 580 (Not The Slim Tower), the computer didn't boot, it just gave a Yellow-Orange light on the motherboard. All the fans were running though. Any Idea how do I start it?

The reason I asked about the Processor, is because for several years in the past, Dell used a non-std power supply. As a result, the 24 pin PSU connector and the 24 pin motherboard header were wired differently from the std ATX power supplies. But they discontinued that around the time of the old Pentium II and IV CPUs. And they generally only had 20 pins, not 24. I believe the year span was 1996 to about 2000.

So unless yours is one of those, I doubt that is the problem. Try it with the gfx card out and the monitor connected to the...

Did you plug in the +12V ATX 4 pin cable to the motherboard? Both 4 pin and 24 pin cables firmly seated in their header? Make sure the locking clip is securely clipped over the locking tabs on the headers.
What processor did your PC come with?
