Solution

it's good.

here are some recommendations based on price, assuming you're in india:

power supply -
Seasonic ECO 500 INR 3650

Seasonic S12II 520 INR 5250

amd cpu and motherboards:
http://www.flipkart.com/amd-3-5-am3-fx-6-core-fx-6300-fd6300wmhkbox-processor/p/itmdz2whghfbfxnw?pid=PSRDHYYVZJVED3DR&srno=b_2&ref=86c8373f-7496-4b07-a142-5284be22a17c...
what motherboards and what are the total prices you're getting for the intel and amd combo (and which motherboard)? the amd combo seems to be of better value, but if you're gonna stick an older 760g chipset motherboard, might as well go with the intel i5.

The FX 6300 is a great processor and can be overclocked nicely with an aftermarket CPU cooler. There is nothing wrong with it. That said, I have to ask the same question at de5_Roy regarding your budget, what is needed, what is not needed, etc... You would probably be happy with either of those solutions if only gaming on one monitor, but depending on your budget there may be an option with the best of both worlds.

Hey man, I have a FX-6300 and if I were given a choice to choose again, I'd go with Intel because there's no arguing the i5 is better performer than the FX 6300.

But the reason I didn't go and get a i5 is because not only was I on a budget, but because I was able to make the best possible performer for Gaming with the budget. With the i5 I wouldn't have been able to get a stronger GPU.

Also do not look at the FX 6300 as if it was an inferior chip. Its a monster of for the price you get it for. Its also one of the best chips that has very high, constant success rate for high overclock.

If your not on a budget go with the i5+760 or better card. But if your on a budget like me get the FX 6300+760 or better. The FX 6300 does not get "un stable." It's definitely the best Processor I've ever bought for the price.

William2014's advice is sound. Changing an AMD build to the 8320 (or 8350) doesn't chance much since you are after a gaming rig. Video experts, CAD / CAM would potentially need more processing threads, but the 6300 is your sweet spot.

If you have the money, the FX 8320 + 760 is easily the best option of the 3 for gaming. The FX 8320 can easily be over clocked to be a 8350 and more. Also 8 core threads definitely help for games like BF4 that support it.

just as i thought... a cheap amd mobo with older chipset... if you're gonna go with amd, get at least a 970 chipset motherboard or better, a 990fx chipset motherboard (e.g. gigabyte 990fxa-ud3) with the fx6300.
problem with older chipset motherboard is that these are mainly aimed at users who don't use discreet gfx, instead uses the on-board radeon 4200-something igp. the boards are made to run at stock settings and lack official support from amd. sure you can run the am3+ fx cpus, if you're willing to gamble and take the risk, might even get decent o.c. but i'd never recommend it considering the uncertainties involved.

fx8320 with geforce gtx 760 will be better than going with fx6300, but you should get a better motherboard.

as for the intel combo, since intel forces you to go with socket compatible motherboard, you should price out a mobo like gigabyte/asus b85 motherboard instead of msi/asrock at that price level.

it's good.

dude the gigabyte and the asus mobo are very expensive to fit in my budget.......sorry i cant buy these but will consider the asus mobo that costs 7000......

i think as the r9 270x is not very bad than the gtx 760......so with the b85m-g43 will the i5 4570 be good????or maybe i can buy a 4670k......but now iam sure ill not take a 760......

i5 4570
r9 270x vapor x
msi b85m-g43
seasonic 500watt psu
corsair vengeance 2x4gb ram
1080p 21.5inch mobo
500gb hdd and after few months ill buy a 120gb ssd....

so how is this build???will it run all games at 1080p with decent fps???

yes.

according to flipkart and your cpu, mobo choices, i5 4670k should be well out of your price range. that's why i didn't post intel combos. if you want to buy an unlocked i5, you'd have to tweak your budget accordingly.

so are decent z87 motherboards that can take advantage of an i5 4670k.
the asus m5a97 should be suitable for fx6300.

i like gigabyte and asus b85chipset motherboards more, due to those having more 4 pin fan headers than msi and asrock. not that you'll need them... but it's good to have them in case.

it will. you might even get a bit more performance using mantle drivers and mantle optimized games when they become optimized for r9 270x series cards.
