If the OS was corrupted the only option is reinstall.

You need either an Installation disk/drive or repair disk/drive. Easiest to obtain would be e repair disk, but you would need another PC running Windows 8. Simply type 'Recovery' at your Start Screen then it's 'Create a recovery drive' (8.1) or from Settings if its 8.
Ignore the Recovery Partition at this point, and remember to change the Boot order to make your DVD 1st, or a USB device if you decide to use a USB pendrive.

So you're still having problems. Post details of your PC so we get a more accurate picture. Best not to select an answer as Best Solution until the problem is solved, or you'll get no attention.
It's possible either your drive has failed, or something happened to your BIOS, but until we know your PC model we can't help...
