Asus 7970 dcu2, black screen

Hi guys need help.
I have a asus 7970 direct cu ii.
Just reformated my computer but as soon as i install the display drivers the computer gets to the windows logo, but after that it either goes black or loads for a short time with black horizontal lines.
It boots into safe mode fine. Ive tried two monitors plugged in, just one (in both slots), replacing the lead and dvi>hdmi adapter. But still the same issues.
Ive tried different driver versions also. But still the same issue.
Ive also tried installing win7 on different hdd,
Kinda stuck here
