so here's what's happened.. i recently installed custom watercooling on my 7990 i tested everything and everything was ok (temps, no leaks, etc..).

and as i was waiting for something and i thought of trying to get rid of the last bubbles of air stuck in the loop and i thought nothing wud harm anything inside the case if i tilted the case back and forth in a gentle way and turned on the PSU and off b4 MoBo boots so the pump wud circulate the bubbles out .. the case got away from me while the power was off and hit the wall from the back panel side, it wasnt that big of a hit but it was strong enough to only disconnect one of the CPU fans that was connected to a splitter, my screen was off and i didnt see if anything happened during that.

now my MoBo wont boot up while my 7990 is connected as main gpu but when i connect my 280x and crossfire it with the 7990 everything goes well.

one weird thing.. GPU-Z shows the 7990 as one gpu and so does CCC.

note: i cudnt install the 280x as second gpu cus of the tubes blocking its way.

i ran away of anything i can do to fix this.. please help

Test the 7990 in another system, if it does not work there either then the card is bad.

Unfortunately I dont have another system but the card worked as a second gpu isn't that something to rule out bad card?

Have you tried seating the 7990 another pci slot alone?

No but the pci slot is working when using 280x

Well, your mobo took a jolt and your 7990 is a heavy card. There could be damage to either.
Checking another pci slot may tell you if the card (acts the same) is the problem or not.

I just did.. it's the same.. I think the main gpu is dead thats why it only shows one gpu when cf'ing it with 280x.. I dunno.. I just bought the 7990.. it was working.. this sucks..

I would advise you to remove your 7990 and try to start up your system, the reason I say this is because your MB may be trying to avoid damaging itself because a faulty device is installed in it.

I removed it.. putting it back in the box..

Check the mobo for any cracks, chips, broken resistors, etc. because the drop could have damage it.

Mobo is working fine thankfully... I guess the hit caused some kind of short circuit that burned the gpu

Some helpful advice, the next time if you see a bubble or two just drain your tubes, it may take a little bit more time but it's safer.
