Are you sure that you have the little speaker installed on the board? If so in the right place? It should at least beep for post, which is independent of booting into windows.

If the speaker is installed and correctly and you aren't getting beeps it can be one of a few issues:

Is the power plugged into the card. If yes:\

Bad psu where your board is attempting to draw too much power (or just enough) but the psu is not outputting enough so it shuts down.

Or a bad card that is causing the entire thing to shutdown immediately. If you can, take the card and put it into a known good pc, your friends, another one you might have, something. Boot up. If it does the same thing, it's the card, if it boots fine it's your psu.

Here is a link to the no post troubleshooting steps for your motherboard.

Try these:

http://support.asus.com/Troubleshooting/detail.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=1&m=B85M-G&s=45&hashedid=n2uFjfEkEIQokEMw&os&no=978

Also as I said above with the trying the card in another machine. If you can get your hands on another card that requires minimum of 500w, try putting it in your machine. If it does the same thing it is most definitely a bad psu.

Though there is a slight chance it could be a bad pcie slot, but that is a lot more rare then a bad card or psu.
