Hi guys, so after realizing I needed an upgrade to my GeForce 605 because I can't run most of the games of this year I decided to search something affordable to my budget and I decided to get this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/GeForce-Graphics-Dual-link-Expr...

Now the question:

Do I need specific hardware to run this graphic card? (Motherboard/CPU/Power Supply)

Thank you in advance and if you have any questions I will answer as soon as possible.

Are you just wanting to upgrade your gfx card? If so, can you click start and type in DXdiag and hit enter, then copy and paste what you see in system information.

As it's not custom built it hasn't displayed us any motherboard information. Do you know the exact model name of this Acer computer? From what i can see about the Aspire X1935 series, they are smaller than most desktop computers?

Yes they are smaller, about the motherboard information I tried to find it before but without any success even using Everest.

Your best bet in my opinion is to contact Acer. Send them an e-mail either asking for motherboard details/spec or ask them what graphics cards would be compatible.

After searching a bit I think the only things it needs to be compatible between Motherboard and Graphic Card is the type of slot and power supply voltage and amp rating.

Using Everest it seems the slot is a PCIe 2.0 16x (which I guess the 3.0 graphic card I described above is compatible) and opening the case to see power supply the model is LiteOn PE 5221 08 AF but because most of it was in chinese the only part I could read was AC Input 220~240V 3.15A 50Hz/DC Output +5V 14A MAX.

Please correct if I'm wrong in something but I guess I can use the card I said above?
