My friend is currently building a pc. As I finished mine back in November he asked me round to his for some help installing his OS. He turned his pc on, set his TV to HDMI 3 but nothing happened. The computer was on but nothing was being displayed on the TV. All the wires were correct and we could see no errors. Nothing was being displayed, now, I thought even with no OS you should still get the bios and some other options. Does anyone know why this could be happening to him. FYI he doesn't have a graphics cards but surely the integrated graphics on his cpu should kick in?

Can you list system specs please. Is there another system around that you can test to confirm that there is no issue with the TV/HDMI cable? It's best to eliminate that as a possible culprit.
