I just installed a 550W power supply and the GEFORCE GTX 660 in an attempt to run dual monitors. I used the VGA hookup originally on the back of my desktop and installed the drivers for the video card. To complete the installation I needed to restart my computer. Now that I have restarted it, my monitor is not longer getting signal. The LG monitor I am using will not recognize the VGA/D-SUB or the DVI-D port. I am not sure what to do, I am relatively new to this sort of stuff and would like some help to fix this problem.

I have tried both DVI-D ports with two different DVI-D to DVI-D dual-link cables. I have double checked all the power supply plugs and the ports to the video card.

EDIT:

I switched connection from the power supply and my screen is no longer black. Now the monitor is receiving a signal. However, it is a blank blue screen where I can see and move my mouse pointer across the page. I have no idea whats going on lol

when you say your using VGA on the back of your desktop is this VGA plugged in to Motherboard OR video card.

if its plugged in to the motherboards Video Solution well the reason its not working is because the added in graphics card disables the on board video you'll need to plug your monitors in to the nvidia video card.

The VGA is plugged into the motherboard. I was using this port until I installed the drivers for the nvidia video card. Now I am using the DVI-D port on the video card with a dual link cable to the DVI-D port on my monitor. The monitor keeps saying "searching for signal" then after a while it says "DVI-D No Signal, power saving mode will begin shortly".
