More about good video cards run power supply amps 12v rail bit low
  1. That is a mess of a power supply with 5 12V rails. do you have any idea which connectors are on which rail?
  2. Im not sure to be honest

ehh do you know what it came with? It looks like something like two 760 or one 780ti should work based on the connectors but it is hard to tell with that many rails.
  4. Here is link to exact same power supply that I have. http://www.ebay.com/itm/PSU-Dell-Alienware-NPS-750AB-1-ATX-750W-PSU-Power-Supply-Unit-with-Harness-/111277645359?pt=PCA_UPS&hash=item19e8aa1e2f I was unable to run a gtx 580 or gtx 480 on it. Im currently running a gtx 295 with only 1 of the 2 gpus working, im thinking due to power supply.

If you were unable to get either of those to work then any 760 or higher probably won't work. Sounds like the PSU is either junk or more likely those rails just aren't strong enough they way they are set up. I would get a new power supply if it is any good it should only have just one 12V rail instead of 5.

If you want you can post your CPU specs and I will recommend one.

Sorry should have said Comp not CPU. I need

    CPU:
    RAM:
    HDD/SSD
    GPU: (planed and current)
  8. Its an Alienware Area 51 x58 computer. Has I7 920 2.67 Ghz Processor, 6 Gb DDR3 1066 I beleive speed. 80 gb solid state and a 2 Tb regular Harddrive . Im running a gtx 295 but only 1 of the gpus is active. I would like to run a gtx 580.

I think the power supply is the reason one of the gtx 295 gpus is disabled.

I would recomend something like this for a little extra room in the future.
